Superclásico en conferencia

Peña Biafore y Mateo Mendía hablaron del River-Boca ante los medios.

Los Octavos de Final de la Copa Proyección Sur Finanzas llegan con el Superclásico. Por eso, los protagonistas de River y Boca estuvieron presentes en una nueva Conferencia LPF que anticipó la fecha el gran encuentro de esta nueva etapa de la competencia. Leandro Peña Biafore y Mateo Mendía, del Millonario y el Xeneize, respectivamente, hablaron frente a los medios.

El evento se realizó en la Sede LPF y se puede revivir a través de LPF Play y el canal de Youtube de la Liga Profesional.

Acerca del enfrentamiento, coincidieron: “Más allá de cómo hayamos terminado en la primera ronda, este partido es diferente a los demás, no sólo por ser el Superclásico, sino también porque es un único juego eliminatorio y eso siempre hace que no pese el camino recorrido por los equipos”.

Peña Biafore agregó luego: “Estamos preparados y mentalizados para jugar el clásico; sabemos que hicimos una buena primera parte del campeonato, pero este partido es distinto”.

Por su parte, Mendía, sumó: “Uno va creciendo y la competencia va cambiando. Obviamente se hace más difícil porque todos compiten al máximo; yo creo que estamos a la altura y que lo vamos a hacer muy bien”.

El encuentro de Octavos de Final, será el próximo domingo 9 a las 15 en el River Camp. Los de Núñez accedieron a esta instancia tras clasificar segundo de la Zona A, en la etapa regular, con 30 puntos -igual que el puntero Vélez-, con nueve triunfos, tres empates y dos caídas. Por su parte, Boca fue séptimo en la Zona B con 20 unidades en la tabla, cinco victorias, cinco igualdades y cuatro derrotas.

En la fecha 14, la última de la primera etapa del certamen, River empató 1-1 con Rosario Central como local, mientras que el Xeneize también igualó 1-1 con Newell’s, pero de visitante.
